FCT, Abuja - Nigerians have expressed mixed reactions following a viral video of the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, asking the newly promoted permanent secretaries in his ministry to bow before President Bola Tinubu.

In the video, the minister called out the permanent secretaries to show appreciation to the president for allowing the FCT administration to appoint them as the first permanent secretaries in the ministries.

The incident happened at the commissioning of the expanded Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) completed by the FCT administration.

Nyesom Wike will be the first FCT minister to constitute the FCT Civil Service Commission and the first minister to appoint permanent secretaries in Nigeria's history.

Tinubu promises Wike his support

Legit.ng earlier reported that Tinubu promised to always support Wike and not let him down.

The president gave the assurance at the Southern Parkway (S8/S9) commissioning, named after him, in Abuja on Tuesday, May 28.

Tinubu's comment came amid tension between Wike and his successor in Rivers state, Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
