"In Kibera, there are many challenges; if you go to school, you get chased. It was tough for me, but I had to adapt. Some of my friends were into substance abuse, and others died because of crime," shared Vinn.

Vinn wanted to stay as far away from crime as possible, so he started playing football when free. Later on, he joined dancing, which helped him ward off peer pressure.

Leni met Vinn on stage when he was dancing at an event. Although there were many girls, Vinn was attracted to Leni's vibe.

"I was attracted to her dancing and did not initially think of love. Later on, she asked to see my face; I told her I was working and asked her to come backstage," said Vinn.

"We decided to go home, but then I thought Nairobi is so big, and I may never see him again so I ran back and asked for his Instagram page," said Leni.

Later, Vinn removed the mask and gave his Instagram account, and they started texting. Leni finally agreed to visit Vinn.

"I told her I stayed in the slums and waited to see her say I don't do slum guys. I was like, this girl will hate me. It was crazy; taking a shower and many other things for her, they grew up having washrooms while I had to walk outside. One night, she needed to use the bathroom, and I gave her a bucket. I thought she would hate me," said Vinn.
