Recruitment: Police release list of successful candidates

The Nigeria Police Force on Friday, June 8, released the list of the successful candidates of its 2018 Police Constable Recruitment exercise.

Head of Public Complaint, Rapid Response Unit, Abayomi Shogunle, on his Twitter handle shared the link to the website where successful candidates can check their names.

The tweet also includes the expected resumption date of the new employees of police.

According to Shogunle, training of the successful candidates starts on Friday, June 8 while the last day of resumption (for training) is Wednesday, June 13.

"Failure to report for training by 13.06.18 will mean candidate has declined the offer," Shogunle stated in the tweet.

On the police website, the names of the successful candidates were grouped according to their states.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) chided the federal government for allegedly making Arabic language compulsory in the aptitude test conducted for all applicants shortlisted for recruitment into Nigeria Police Force.

The organisation made its position on the matter public, in a statement released by its national president, Rev Samson Ayokunle, on Thursday, May 31.

It called for the cancellation of the aptitude test which was organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in 156 centres nationwide.

According to the association, it is a violation of the constitution and the secular nature of the country, to mandate both Christians and Muslims to answer questions in Arabic language.
